The best maths GCSE revision videos you’ll find… CGP MathsTutor

Since March this year I have been making instructional videos to help my pupils with their learning. I have made them available through the website and also free in the iTunes Store. This has been a successful initiative with the videos being downloaded over 27,000 times from iTunes alone. The videos filled what I thought was a gap in the market and something that pupils should have available to them in the modern world.

CGP MathsTutor may now have given me cause to cease development of It is an absolutely cracking resource available which gives pupils highly entertaining, yet pedagogically sound instructional videos on every GCSE topic, tailored to the exam board they are sitting. In addition to this they have an exam style question to accompany each topic which you can download and attempt before watching a video worked solution of the question.

Our pupils have used the excellent MathsWatch videos in the past but will shortly be moving towards CGP MathsTutor for many reasons. In my opinion the CGP videos are better quality. You can buy all the videos on a single dvd rom for £5.95 whereas you have to place a minimum order of 25 discs with MathsWatch. You can put all the videos on your network or VLE for free viewing by your pupils with both companies but the CGP complete package costs £25o rather than £350 for MathsWatch.

All these points aside, it comes down to what I feel the pupils will find most useful, informative and engaging and I firmly believe CGP MathsTutor to have a significant edge. I encourage you to look at the demo…
